Microsemi Corporation Staff Technical Writer in Bangalore, India

Microsemi is looking for technical writers to document its next-generation semiconductor products. The work location is Bangalore. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create product briefs, datasheets, and other technical and marketing collateral.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Creating documentation-writing, editing, formatting, and illustrating technical end-user documentation and other marketing collateral
  • Validating information-working with cross-functional teams to ensure technical accuracy and quality standards
  • Managing deliverables-working with cross-functional teams to estimate project scope, gather data, track milestones, communicate progress, mitigate risks, and produce documentation that meets customer expectations

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Technical Communications, English, or a related field.
  • 8 + years of technical writing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in written form
  • Demonstrated skill in writing topic-based documentation
  • Willingness to work in a challenging and engaging environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, accountability, and professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with structured authoring, single-sourcing, and online help
  • Knowledge of html, xml, css or similar web technologies
  • Ability to manage documents in a controlled systems environment using workflow, permissions, and version control
  • Experience documenting semiconductors, firmware, APIs, or software technologies

Essential Skills and Experience:
