Microsemi Corporation Sr. Digital Design Engineer in Hyderabad, India

In this role the candidate will be joining an experienced team to work on the design of new functions for high speed systems in communications, datacenter, or defense. The position will provide the successful engineer with an opportunity to work on new and complex programmable (configurable) products and designs and gain exposure to High-Level modeling tools and concepts, real-time hardware prototyping, and development or customization of new IP cores.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work in a positive environment where individual development goals are aligned with organizational goals in developing reference platforms and enablers for some of the futuristic applications.

Duties

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develop design integrating embedded Soft or Hard micro-controllers or processors.
  • Capable of designing with interfaces like PCIe Gen3/4, Multi Gigabit serial buses, DDR3/4/LPDDR3/4 as well as slow interfaces such as SPI, I2C
  • RTL design and coding of new functional modules
  • Customization of existing IPs
  • Unit Modules implementation/coding, validation, and integration within large designs (and testing)
  • Design optimization to meet timing or power budgets
  • Understanding and experience with Safety Critical requirements is a major plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in EE or EECS
  • 3 - 5 years' FPGA or ASIC design experience (5 years or more preferred
  • Experience of RTL coding, debug, customization, and synthesis
  • Experience of FPGA hardware prototyping, and knowledge of wired or wireless communications applications, a distinct advantage
  • Excellent analytical and debug skills
  • Previous experience of Microsemi tools (or Competing FPGA Tools) and products are desired.
